What are the age requirements to join the academy?
We accept players from ages 7 to 19, divided into appropriate age groups:
  • Junior Leopards: 6-12 years
  • Development Squad: 13-15 years
  • Elite Program: 16-19 years
Age groups are determined by the player's age as of January 1st of the current year.
What is the selection process like?
Our selection process involves three stages:
  1. Initial assessment (basic skills evaluation)
  2. Trial period (2-week training with the potential team)
  3. Final evaluation by our coaching staff
We assess technical ability, physical fitness, attitude, and potential for development.
When is the best time to apply?
We accept applications year-round, but the main intake periods are:
  • January - for the winter season
  • July - for the summer season
Early applications are encouraged as spaces are limited. Off-cycle applications may be considered if spaces are available.
What is the training schedule like?
Training schedules vary by age group:
  • Junior Leopards: 3 sessions/week (Mon, Wed, Fri - 4-6pm)
  • Development Squad: 4 sessions/week + Saturday matches
  • Elite Program: Daily training (Mon-Fri) + weekend matches
All training sessions are mandatory unless prior arrangements are made.
Do you provide academic support for players?
Yes, we have a comprehensive academic support program:
  • Study halls with tutoring available
  • Flexible training schedules for exam periods
  • Partnerships with local schools for elite players
  • Academic progress monitoring
We believe in developing student-athletes who excel both on and off the field.
What are the costs involved in joining the academy?
Our fee structure is as follows:
  • Registration Fee: R500 (one-time, non-refundable)
  • Monthly Tuition: R1,200-R2,500 depending on age group
  • Kit Package: R1,800 (includes training and match kits)
We offer sibling discounts (10% for second child, 15% for third+) and need-based financial aid for qualifying players.
What does the tuition fee include?
Your monthly tuition covers:
  • Professional coaching (UEFA/FIFA licensed coaches)
  • Facility usage and maintenance
  • League registration fees
  • Sports medical support
  • Strength and conditioning programs
  • Video analysis sessions
  • Player development workshops
Additional costs may include tournaments, travel, and specialized training programs.
How does the academy help players progress to professional teams?
Our player pathway includes:
  • Regular showcase matches for scouts
  • Partnerships with professional clubs
  • Individual highlight reels created for each player
  • Exposure tours and tournaments
  • Dedicated agent liaison for top talents
Over the past 5 years, we've had 27 players sign with professional academies and 8 players make first-team debuts.
What safety measures are in place?
Player safety is our top priority:
  • All coaches are first-aid certified
  • Full-time physiotherapist on staff
  • Concussion protocols in place
  • Strict child protection policies
  • Emergency action plans for all facilities
  • Regular equipment safety checks
We also carry full insurance coverage for all players during academy activities.
